| Product description: Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate (SLMI) is an extremely mild cleanser that can be used as a primary or secondary surfactant and is ideally used where a dense, luxurious foam and elegant after-feel is desired. It produces good slip, low tack on drying and has excellent water solubility properties which allow it to be used in creating clear liquid cleansing systems. The secondary ester structure of SLMI makes it more hydrolytically stable than many common esters and therefore its broad pH stability range makes formulating easy. SLMI is ideal for use in shower gels, facial cleansers, shampoos, liquid cleansing systems, and luxury foam baths. SLMI can also be used to prepare high performance, “sulfate-free” personal cleansing products. |
