The primary application for attapulgite is as a binder in the formation of molecular sieve granules. We produce several grades of gel quality attapulgite that are highly effective in catalyst industry. They were especially developed for binding molecular sieves and are uniquely effective colloidal gelling agents because of their controlled fine particle size, purity, the low silica and carbonate contents. The characteristics imparted to the molecular sieves results in low attrition losses during the granulation and drying processes with the resulting high yields of finished product. |
