  Property: The appearance of MoC15 varies with the physical state. The solid, liquid and gaseous states are respectively black crystal, black amber liquid and black amber steam. Molecular weight is 73.2, melting point is 194℃, boiling point is 268℃, density is 2.928g/cm3 at 25℃. Electric property: Insulator at 25℃, at 216℃ is 1.9×10-6Ω, at 258℃ is 7.5×10-6Ω.

  MoC15 is lively and volatile crystal, high-purity and refractory metal halide. It is volatile in moderate temperatures, decomposes to metal molybdenum deposits in gaseous state, and is easily soluble in organic solvent.

  Usage: Used as the component of chloridizing catalysts and fire-resistant resin, used in production of hexacarbonylmolybenum and metal organic compounds.
